This was my $800 special
to see how I liked the idea of carrying all this in my pickup. This made several trips, including a month in Alaska in '02. This one got over 17 MPG at 65 MPH. It's a '96 2WD truck with just a TST #8 fuel plate.

A much better replacement. I found a pristine used Lance camper, that includes about anything you'd want. This is a better 4x4 truck, still a diesel. The fuel mileage of this '97 rig is down to 14 MPG at 65 MPH. This has a #5 fuel plate and 16.5 degrees timing.
